Now Accepting Proposals
The Virginia Innovative Nuclear Hub (VIN Hub) is pleased to announce the launch of the Small Grants Program, designed to catalyze high-impact initiatives that strengthen Virginia’s growing nuclear energy ecosystem.
Through this competitive funding opportunity, VIN Hub is inviting collaborative proposals from Virginia-based institutions and organizations committed to advancing workforce development, applied research, industry growth, and public engagement in nuclear energy. Purpose of the Program
The VIN Hub Small Grants Program supports targeted projects that:
- Expand technician and engineering workforce pipelines
- Accelerate applied nuclear research and innovation
- Strengthen supply chain and industry partnerships
- Increase public awareness and STEM engagement
This initiative aligns with Virginia’s broader strategy to lead in advanced nuclear energy development and workforce readiness.
Eligible Applicants
Proposals are welcome from:
- Universities and community colleges
- Workforce development organizations
- Industry and supply chain partners
- Regional economic development entities
- STEM and nonprofit education organizations
Collaborative, cross-sector partnerships are strongly encouraged.

Competitive proposals will demonstrate:

- Clear outcomes and performance metrics
