Program Manager
Virginia’s Innovative Nuclear (VIN) Hub is seeking a Program Manager to lead implementation of the Virginia Nuclear Innovation Hub Accelerator, a multi-year initiative funded through the Virginia Power Innovation Fund (VPIP). The Program Manager will oversee a statewide small grants program, coordinate development of a predictive workforce modeling tool, and support a nuclear energy supply chain assessment that advances Virginia’s “Virginia is Nuclear” strategic plan.
Key responsibilities include: managing the full lifecycle of competitive small grants; maintaining project timelines, budgets, and reporting; coordinating external consultants and contractors; and building strong relationships with universities, community colleges, K–12 systems, workforce and economic development organizations, and industry partners across the Commonwealth.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as business administration, project management, workforce or economic development), at least five years of experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs, proven experience administering grants, and strong skills in project management, communication, and data-informed reporting. Experience in nuclear energy, advanced manufacturing, STEM education, or related technical sectors is preferred. This is a grant-funded, three-year position with competitive salary and benefits and strong potential for continuation based on program growth and funding.
